Weather was a project with several phases that responded to the devastating fires in California in 2018. Through ceramics, songwriting, printmaking, interviews, an adventure conference proposal, and participatory actions, I invited the artists around me, in Oakland and then Arcata, California, to consider how the fires had affected us and how we could work together to prepare for future calamities. Through a residency at the Sanctuary, I worked with Humboldt Mutual Aid to raise awareness and promote their community preparedness work.
